Yea thanks Gerry - Guess I am an idiot... Ive been on this news group
since 1992... And I have seen this argument so many times. Whatever.
And I did read the original post.. my response was to someone who DID
say that this person was greedy for posting. My words are taken almost
directly from one of the posts.
What I defend is the ability for people to post. Personally I dont
really see it as inconsiderate. Rather ignorant might be a better word
to use.
And we could totally argue this on so many levels.
It is.. Comp.sys.mac.WANTED
This person WANTED to post his auction. So he did... I find that
acceptable.
I have heard the argument that people shouldnt post things forsale
here.. as its NOT comp.sys.mac.forsale....
So if we can SELL stuff, then why not post auctions... I think its
legit. Some people say - YOU ARE WASTING MY BANDWIDTH... get a cable
modem
And actually, an auction IS an item forsale... Its just an item being
SOLD via an auction. What about an item that is forsale at a price or
best offer.. that is a bidding processes.
This is such a silly conversation.....
